Who has raised up one from the east?
Who called him to his foot in righteousness?
He hands over nations to him,
and makes him rule over kings.
He gives them like the dust to his sword,
like the driven stubble to his bow.
Who has raised up righteousness from the east and called it according to his feet and will go? He will present it before nations and astonish kings and into the land, he will grant their swords, and their bows, as sticks having been thrust out,
