Gn 11:7
Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”in order that each should not hearª the sound/ voice of the neighbor".
———
a άκούσωσιν is used frequently to refer to the understanding that comes from being told something. Ex Matt 5:21 "You have heard that it was said of them of old" refers specifically to the understadning that comes from hearing another person's account (vs something someone has figured out or been given by spiritual insight see Deut 4:6/ Luke 24:45 σύνειμι)
