Ex 2:21
¶Moses was content to dwell with the man. He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter.
[a]
———
a
Moses' (first?) wife is a Midianite, a.k.a. Ismaelite (see Gn. 37:25, 27, 28; 39:1). Moses' sends her and his sons to live with her father in Ex. 18:2. In Nm. 12:1 Moses has a Cushite/Ethiopian wife, who may or may not be this same wife. The Israelites war with the Midianites in Nm. 22:4, 7; 25:1, 6, 14-18; 31:1-18.
