a sexual immorality is an interpretive and perhaps misleading translation for "porneias" because the word is used consistently to also refer to the unfaithfulness of those who depart from the precision of God's word... as in Isaiah 1:21 when God asks "how the faithful city becomes a harlot" the word is "porno" polis.. so porneias needs to be kept in context of faithfulness not sex.
