another very strange detail is tucked in this text considering the Deut 22:22 LAW that BOTH adulterers should be stoned and the circumstance of the pharisees and scribes ONLY bringing the accusation of adultery against the woman, though she was "caught in the act", meaning the partner was obviously within reach of the scribes and phairsees too, so in ONLY bringing the woman before Jesus, not only was her partner missing but the scribes and pharisees were complicit in permitting her partner to get away... human reasoning might have anticipated Jesus asking her where is her adultering PARTNER but remarkably, Jesus only asks her about her accusers...
