Jn 17:5
Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.
———
a "προ του τον κοσμον ειναι παρα σοι" =before the world existed. It is an UNIQUE distinction about what is often referred to as 'eternity past' which is noted by Jesus here as being a UNIQUE glory of Jesus in that Scripture ONLY refers to Jesus as have been known to God in 'eternity past'. Contrary to much teaching, the ONLY ONES who existed BEFORE the beginning of the world was GOD, The Father, Jesus, and His Spirit upon the waters (Gen 1:1-2). We humans and our plot exist exclusively SINCE/FROM the foundation of the world απο καταβολησ κοσμου (see Gen 1:26, Rev 13:8, Matt25:34, Luke 11:50).. even Jeremiah was only distinguished as having been planned by God before he was formed and in his mother's belly NOT before the beginning of the world. God's plan from "eternity past" can ONLY be established to have included Jesus and His Spirit as they alone are the ones who have existed "προ του τον κοσμου" BEFORE the foundation of the world, and this is a UNIQUE glory Jesus claims for HIMSELF and the FATHER here in John 17:5 & 24, according to what is revealed from the text of Scripture (Gen 1:1-2, John 17:5, John 17:24, Eph 1:4, 1Pt1:20).
