Heb 9:3
After But behind the second veil,[a] was the a tabernacle which is called (the) Holy (Place) of (the) Holies,[b]
———
a Description of the second veil, see Ex. 26:31-35 (...The veil will make a division for you between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies....). Description of the first veil (the curtain for the entrance to the tabernacle), see Ex. 26:36-37.
b Gk. ἡ ἅγια ἁγίων. Normally this would be translated either the Holy of Holies or the Most Holy Place, but the most literal translation here is probably the Holy Place of the Holies meaning, of the two Holy Places, the one belonging to heaven a.k.a. the Holies (see τὰ ἅγια, the Holies, esp. in 9:24, but also 9:8, 9:12, 9:25, and 10:19).
