2Tm 1:8
Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship suffer with (me)[a] for the Good News gospel, according to with the power ability of accorded by God,[b]
———
a Gk. συγκακοπαθέω, to suffer hardship together with. With me is not explicit, but in light of the desertions Paul is experiencing (1:15; 4:10, 16) while he himself continues to suffer (1:12), it seems Paul is asking Timothy to hang in there with him.
b Gk. κατὰ δύναμιν θεοῦ. God, in saving us and calling us according to his own purpose and grace (1:9), has also given us the ability to suffer together for the gospel.
