through via the hypocrisy parroted creeds [b] of men who speak lies those whose words one cannot trust,[a] branded having cauterized in their own conscience [c]as with a hot iron;

a Gk. ἐν ὑποκρίσει ψευδολόγων, in hypocrisy of ψευδολόγος [false-worded] people.
b υποκρισις should not be translated as the English word hypocrisy because the English meaning is not the same as the Greek. υποκρισις means being under predetermined critical analysis, like denominational creeds, whether formal or informal. It is a belief system or basis of judgement that has been passed down from others, i.e. the traditions of men.
c Their consciences have been cauterized by relying on false, predetermined creeds instead of using their minds to think μετα των λογιων του θεου, i.e. κατα τον λογον. Hence, they are ασυνετος, like unthinking animals parroting the words of Man, or actors reading woodenly and undeviatingly from a script.
