, in the middle-passive, means to touch; but in the active means to light a lamp or kindle a fire (see Luke 8:16, 11:33, 15:8, 22:55; Acts 28:2). The form here is middle-passive, so to touch. Could it, though, possibly be intended to take on the latter sense figuratively: rather than for a man to touch a woman, instead for a man to be to kindled by a woman (into desire)? See
