Ὑπερνικάω is traditionally translated as to be more than conquerors, whatever that means. Νικάω within the GNT is most often in the context of prevailing when attacked, or not being defeated (e.g., Romans 12:21). Ὑπερ- is an intensifier. In its singular usage in Romans 8, the context is being under assault by people or circumstances trying to separates us from God's love with an assurance that that is not possible.
