Σαμαρῖτις (v.l. -ρείτης) occurs twice in the GNT, both times in John 4:9:

the Samaritan woman: ἡ γυνὴ ἡ { Σαμαρεῖτις ♦ Σαμαρῖτις };

being a Samaritan woman: { οὔσης γυναικὸς Σαμαρείτιδος ♦ γυναικὸς Σαμαρίτιδος οὔσης }.

Both usages are adjectival, so what makes this word a noun and not an adjective?
